Extreme Legend All-Star Constitution
I. Organization
A. This Constitution has been designed and adopted for the Extreme Legend All-Star Competitive and Exhibition
Cheerleading teams. The team and its Constitution are governed by Extreme Tumbling Training Center and the
Extreme Legend All-Star Staff members.
B. Henceforth, the name of the organization shall be recognized as the Legend All-Stars.
C. The purpose of the Legend All-Stars is to:
1. Encourage responsibility, teach self respect, encourage honest effort, strive for
perfection, and develop character all while working towards a common goal.
2. Teach teamwork and pride in a quality performance through maintaining high
standards of achievement.
3. Encourage skill progressions in all areas of competitive cheerleading, including
dance, tumbling, stunting, jumps, motions, technique, facials, energy, and voice
projection of each cheerleader while in and off season.
4. Encourage energetic stage performance while performing choreographed routines
in front of an audience.
5. Enable athletes to develop mental and physical strategic skills so that they may
perform at the college and/or professional levels as it is highly encouraged.
D. The Legend All-Star coaching staff that will represent the club, Extreme Tumbling Training
Center, and the Extreme Legend All-Star squads will be appointed by Extreme Tumbling,
based on character, coaching abilities, certifications, employment history, dependability,
communication skills, attitude, leadership abilities, and ability to travel.
1. The Legend All-Star coaching staff will be responsible for the daily running and
activities of the Legend All-Stars.
2. The Legend All-Star coaching staff will be responsible for administering all
disciplinary procedures, emergency medical treatment, and administering first
aid at practices, competitions, or off-site performances.
3. The Legend All-Star coaching staff will be responsible for setting individual and
team requirements and/or restrictions as needed. This includes the placement of
alternates, suspensions, permanent dismissal, and/or mobility.
E. The Legend All-Star teams that will be accepting members this season are listed below:
1. Mini All-Stars (ages 8 or under by August 31, 2011)
2. Youth All-Stars (ages 11 or under by August 31, 2011)
3. Junior All-Stars (ages 14 or under by August 31, 2011)
4. Senior All-Stars (ages 18 or under by August 31, 2011)
5. Exhibition All-Stars (ages 18 or under by August 31, 2011)
II. Eligibility
A. Each member must submit a completed and signed Application Form, Parent Consent, Medical Release, and
Recommendation forms BEFORE the annual try-outs take place.
B. Any Legend All-Star team can have as many as 30 members and as few as 12 members.
C. There will be four alternates assigned to teams over 20 members, and two alternates assigned to teams under 20
members.
D. Members must be able to agree to follow the financial commitments, time and travel commitments and practice
requirements of each Legend All-Star team should they be offered a position on a squad.
III. Attendance
A. To participate in a practice, a member must have attended school for at least 4 hours. Members that did not attend
school due to illness or other reasons will attend Legend All-Star practice but will not be allowed to participate.
B. If a member misses ANY practice or training activity, he/she will be replaced for that training session by an appointed
Alternate.
1. Alternate performance order will be based on skill ability, attendance, and commitment to financial
obligations.
C. All Alternates will attend all practices, training sessions and performances and are bound by the Legend All-Star
financial requirements and training time requirements.
D. All members must attend each activity in its entirety.
E. Work, Dr. Appointments, Banquets, School Functions, etc are not considered as an excuse for missing any activity.
These events, although some unforeseen, should not be scheduled during practice times, or other arrangements for
athlete attendance at practice should be made.
IV. Uniform
A. Each member will be expected to purchase all required competitive uniform, accessories, and practice apparel.
1. A complete list will be given to each candidate at try-outs.
2. Any financial problems should be discussed with the Legend All-Star staff before try-outs.
3. A uniform resell list will be available at the front desk before try-outs should a veteran cheerleader decide to
sell their uniform, shoes, bow, gym bag or warm-up.
B. Each member will be required to maintain good condition and cleanliness of his/her uniform.
C. Each member is responsible for any alterations to uniforms or practice apparel.
D. Uniform and uniform pieces are not to be worn individually. For example wearing a uniform top with denim.
E. Uniform and uniform pieces are not to be worn at non Extreme Legend All-Star events, performance, or professional
portrait sessions.
V. Medical
A. Each member must have a complete medical release from a parent or guardian to try out.
B. A completed medical emergency form must be on file before the first scheduled practices begin.
VI. Character
A. Team members and member parents should act as leaders within the gym and set a good example at all times.
B. Team members and member parents should be above reproach maintaining a good personal appearance and habits
that cannot be criticized.
1. Smoking, drinking, abusive foul language, fighting (verbal or physical), inappropriate dress, and/or drug use are
grounds for immediate dismissal.
C. Team members and member parents must be courteous to all team members and work
through communication issues immediately with the assistance of a Legend staff member.
1. Legend All-Star coaching staff will not get involved in member cases that do not arise on
the practice or competition floor, or hear any personal opinions regarding other athletes.
D. Team members and member parents must be courteous to other competitive teams and visitors.
E. Team members and member parents must be respectful to the Legend staff and the staff of
Extreme Tumbling and act as a credit to the club.
VII. Discipline
A. Legend All-Star staff will administer disciplinary actions to members and member parents.
B. The following violations will result in early dismissal from practice:
1. Disrespect towards Legend All-Star staff, Extreme Tumbling staff, or other Legend All-Star team member.
2. Inappropriate practice attire, including shoes or accessories.
3. Voicing individual concerns or opinions regarding the Legend All-Stars to anyone other than the Legend All-Star
coaching staff.
C. The following violations will result in a temporary suspension from training and/or
competition based on the discretion of the Legend All-Star staff. Athletes on suspension must
attend practices but not participate in order to remain on the competition roster.
1. ANY absence at training, competition or community event.
2. Non participation in fundraising and/or booster club efforts and activities.
3. Use of inappropriate language in uniform, including practice apparel.
4. Not meeting skill level requirements for squad level of placement.
5. Gossiping during practices, trainings, and/or competitions.
6. Not meeting minimal skill requirements.
7. Failing to meet the required financial requirements of the squad, including all apparel fees, training fees,
travel fees, competition entry fees, and coaches fees.
D. The following violations will result in immediate dismissal from the Legend All-Star team.
1. Drinking, smoking or drug use in uniform, or at any Legend All-Star event, including the
facility and grounds at Extreme Tumbling Training Center.
2. Inability to acquire an active member status through non payment on accounts, or attendance.
3. Inability to return to activities from prolonged suspension.
VIII. Booster Club
A. When athletes become members of the Legend All-Stars, their parents automatically become members of the Extreme
Power Parents booster club.
B. The booster club will be governed by officers as denoted in the organization by-laws.
C. By-laws will be written and voted upon by the organization’s members.
D. There will be functioning committees within the organization.
E. Voting members of the organization will pay $25 in annual dues.
IX. Fund Raising
A. All members are required to participate in all fund-raising efforts or pay the allotted opt out fee (usually $25-$50) for
that event which will be detailed via newsletter, email or other printed notification.
B. There will be set goals for each member to attain in their fund raising activities.
C. Here are some of our expected Fundraising Events:
1. Legend Cheer Camp June___________, 2011
2. Legend Lock-In July___________, 2011
3. Gwinnett Braves August 7 or 14, 2011 2:05pm
X. Try-Out Training Camps and Try-Outs
A. All members wanting to try out for a Junior or Senior team for the Late Competitive Season (October, November,
December 2011) will be required to attend Try-Out Training Camp during the week of May 24, 25, and 27 from 7pm-
9pm. Try-Out training for Early Competitive Season (January-May 2012), will be November 25 & 26, 2011.
B. All member forms and try-out fees will be due during these week.
1. The late season try out fee is $10 if received by April 5, 2011.
Early season by September 5, 2011.
2. The late season try out fee is $20 if received by May 5, 2011.
Early season by October 5, 2011.
3. Try out fees will be $25 on the day of try-outs.
4. Members that try out for late season, will have to try out again for early season which is January – May, but
will not have to pay the try-out fee.
a. Members that try out for late season and make a late season team will be
allowed to mobilize at the next try out if they show the next level of skills.
C. Late Season Try-Outs will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2011 and Early Season Try-Outs will be held on Sunday,
November 27, 2011.
1. Athletes will be asked to show these skills at try-outs:
a. Mini dance routine taught during training camp
b. Standing tumbling skills
c. Running tumbling pass
d. Jump connected to tumbling pass
e. Multiple jump connection skills
f. Stunt (co-ed partner stunt and/or three man based stunt)
2. Athletes must have turned in all forms in order to try out:
a. Parent Letter
b. Teacher, Church Leader, or Peer Recommendation
c. Release Form
d. Try-Out Application
e. Interview Questions
XI. Choreography Training Camps
A. Athletes being assigned to a competition squad will be required to attend choreography training. Details will be given
following try-outs to members making the team.
