Meet The Instructor

Hi! I'm Pamela Merritt, and I am so excited to offer Zumba classes at Extreme! I
began taking Zumba classes over a year ago and quickly became addicted to
the fun, easy to follow dance moves and exciting music. Who knew that exercise
could be so much fun! After a month, I noticed that my clothes seemed a bit
looser, and I had to buy new jeans. After a year, well, I've had to buy new pretty
much everything-really! As of today, Ive lost a total of 40 pounds, and believe it
or not, my story is not uncommon. Several of my fellow Zumba participants have
lost as much as 65 pounds. And weight loss isn't the only benefit of Zumba-you
will feel amazing, you will have better flexibility and cardiovascular endurance,
and you might even notice an extra spring in your step and bigger smile on your
face from the positive energy Zumba will give you.

In March 2009, the Zumba instructor that I took classes with had the nerve to go
on vacation and she couldn't find another instructor to cover her classes.  To
say that I was disappointed to not have a Zumba class for a whole week would
be an understatement. After hearing the moans and groans of my fellow
students, I approached the instructor and mentioned that maybe I could get
certified and eventually fill in for her as needed. She looked at me for a long
moment and finally said, "Well, that would be great, but maybe you'd like to
teach regularly". So, my journey as an instructor began, and it has been
amazing!

Zumba is unlike any exercise program you have ever tried-you will have an
amazing time burning calories and getting fir with Zumba's easy to follow, fun,
Latin-inspired dance moves. Come try a class-you will love how you look and
